The Loi Krathong festival is held in the month of November, coinciding with the end of the rainy season, when the monsoons have nourished the lands in prediction of a good harvest.
Originally it was a mixture of various beliefs, so it can be interpreted in different ways. As you can see from the footage in this video, it’s a great festival in which the whole society as well as visitors take part. Sweet memories worth taking home with you.

The Songkran festival is held throughout the whole country and it marks the New Year on the traditional Thai calendar. This is the main New Year’s festival but not the only one as they also celebrate the Chinese and western New Year.

The two main ingredients of the celebration are water and fun, a delightful combination, precisely when the summer temperatures are at their hottest. The festival is a real boon for tourists visiting Thailand in the middle of April.

Apart from being very friendly, the Thais have a good sense of humour and do their best to enjoy life. Like everyone else, probably
Among other things, they love dancing and that happens at village street parties during popular festivals. A good and fun way of seeing Thailand close-up. By way of an example, our film shows a festival in Chiang Rai and another one in Pun Ban Noi, a village near Chiang Mai.
