Erawan is one of the protected nature reserves closer to Bangkok.
It is a low mountain National Park, with peaks of up to one thousand metres (3300 feet). It is covered by forests rich in wildlife and numerous waterfalls, where visitors can have fun swimming. A healthy outdoor recreational alternative, especially during the hot Thai summer or when travelling with children.

In this town, you can relive one of the most dramatic episodes in World War II to occur away from the main war fronts. The construction of a railway line by the Japanese that was to cross Thailand to Myanmar, built using local labour and prisoners of war, was the cause of enormous human tragedy.
One stretch of the railway has been restored and apart from recalling the event, it also gives you a chance to enjoy breathtaking views of splendid natural landscape.

The main feature of this small zoo, still under construction, are the tigers and you can take a picture with them in a natural gorge, where they are firmly chained to the ground.
Besides the tigers, there are other species of mammals, some roaming free and other more dangerous ones in cages.
The site is part of a Buddhist monastery, so there are also monks residing on the premises.

Khao Lak is a tourist destination on the Andaman Sea that stretches along a coastline of approximately 25 km. Amongst its attractions for tourism are its long, quiet beaches, its proximity to several paradisiacal islands such as Tachai, Surin and Similan, and also to the Khao Sok National Park which make it a wonderful place for all types of activities to do with nature.
